NIRMAL BINDRA

India-born Nirmal Bindra is a distinguished artist of abstract modern art, an international artist that uses vibrant, bold and colorful flavors to express his optimistic view of the world around him.
Self-taught at an early age, Nirmal began with coloring books & tracing paper, painted on scraps of paper or any medium he could find. He was born into a business family and thus business was the obvious choice of profession, however mid way during his graduation days, his passion for art changed the whole course of his life. Since then, Nirmal has created a visual language of hope and emotions that is relatable to all, inspiring the art lovers through his emblematic paintings.
His portraiture is quite unique, illustrating his intensive understanding of people and the exquisite portrayal of personality through soul-filled and sight engaging artistry.
Appreciation towards his creations influenced him to create an iconic style that depicts warmth, energy, optimism and love.
Nirmal is known for suitably unifying color and composition to create an aesthetic experience and bringing out the beauty and dignity of each subject. He combines oil paints, pastels, watercolor, charcoal, sculpture and photography to innovate timeless pieces of art for his clients. With multiple layers of paint, he creates a depth that invites and draws the viewer in.

For almost 3 decades, i had numerous opportunities of chatting with Mr. Hussain in person, and learning about the significance of colors and how it could influence the moods and lives of people around us. He had complete command over the colors he used in his work – be it caustic, funny, serious or somber.
I constantly personally experienced a definite uniformity in Mr. Hussain’s state-of-mind at that very moment, to what he manifested through each of his paintings.
He truly is the most celebrated and internationally recognized Indian artist of the 20th century, and remains an influential figure through his legend. My work has been and always will be inspired by the uniqueness of his art.”
